UPCOMING EVENTS


SCHOOL PHOTOS

We are so happy to announce that we will be taking school photos on-campus and issuing ID cards March 8-11 from 2:30-5:30pm! This will be in conjunction with textbook drop-off for the library.

These pictures are not only a great way to record your child’s growth in school, they will be featured in the yearbook! This is your chance to make sure you are represented in the annual CO publication done by a professional and at no charge to you!

All appointments must be pre-booked at cohs-picture-day.youcanbook.me. Appointments are in 10 minute blocks and we really need you to arrive during that window to maximize physical distancing for safety. It also allows you to get your picture quickly and without lots of waiting. 

If you wish to purchase pictures, they can be ordered ahead of time or within two days of your picture session at  my.lifetouch.com and enter the picture day code EVT69XMJW. Pictures must be ordered online and paper forms onsite will not be accepted to minimize contact in accordance with our COVID-19 protocols. An order form attached can help you determine packages and prices.

We are encouraging everyone to follow the schedule below for scheduling as it corresponds with your textbook drop-off days:

Freshmen—Monday March 8
Sophomores—Tuesday 
March 9
Juniors—Wednesday 
March 10
Seniors—Thursday 
March 11 (only if you want/need an ID 
card, as your senior portrait will be used for the yearbook)

Please review the details below and we will see you at the cameras!

Details:

  • Individual pictures only (no group photos)
  • Parents must wait in the car.
  • Parking may be done in the parking lot in front of the MP Room.
  • You do not have to be dropping off books to get a picture taken. If you are dropping off books, we suggest to take your picture first, then drive through the library to deliver the returns on the way out.
  • Face coverings must be worn by everyone in attendance at all times. Student can remove their mask for the photo, then must replace as soon as the exposure is complete.
  • Students will enter via the front door of the MP Room from the parking lot. They will wait outside on marked spots until called to limit the number of students inside at any time for safety. Students will then exit through the doors near the MP Room patio, then out the Gym gate to return to their cars.
  • Students will receive their ID cards on site before leaving.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Students/Parents: DO NOT TO RESPOND TO invitations from College Board’s (CAA) College Admissions Assistance -inviting you to attend a meetings for help with college, financial aid  and the admission process.   Your student’s counseling department does a wonderful job in providing the same services - at no out-of-pocket cost to students. Students and parents: college help is available from Counseling Staff and High School College/Career Center Workshops + please be sure to attend Cash for College dates offered throughout the County of Sacramento. Thank you for your attention to this matter as it appears there is at least one organization that using high pressure, sales tactics to commit students and families to services already provided by EGUSD Counseling Staff.
